Want a drink that’s easy to make, delicious, and good for you?
Well here it is! This recipe was inspired by my childhood memories of eating creamsicles in summer and orange juliuses at the fair.
Since orange is the star of the show here, I recommend making this recipe using one fresh, ripe orange (peeled and de-seeded) or the best tasting orange juice you can find.
If your orange or orange juice is a little sour, you can adjust the taste as needed with a little bit honey.
As an added bonus, you can pass this off as dessert to your little kiddos who are over age 1 (per American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines on introducing honey and cow milk).
Time to Tastiness: Less than 5 minutes
3/4 cup whole milk
1 naval orange (peeled and seeds removed)* or 3/4 cup orange juice
1 – 1 1/2 cups ice
*I have found that a naval orange has – on average – about 3/4 cup of juice in it. If your oranges are juicer, you may need to add more milk to get the creamy, creamsicle flavor.
Directions to Deliciousness:
Combine all three ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth. Serve immediately and enjoy with a smile.
